Our Team.
Kamalesh Thigulla
FounderWith over a decade of climbing and trekking experience, Kamalesh’s pursuits span from the icy high-altitude regions of the Greater Himalaya to the granite landscapes of the Deccan Plateau. Beyond his personal expeditions, he is deeply involved in outdoor education, with a particular passion for introducing beginners and young explorers to the mountains. His experience includes extensive travel and climbs across Ladakh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Nepal, and Russia. Known for his storytelling and calm presence on the trail, Kamalesh brings both technical knowledge and perspective to every journey.
Anupa Sekhar
Co-FounderAnupa brings a rare combination of athletic discipline and deep respect for nature. With trekking experience across Ladakh, Malaysia, and the United States, she leads from the front, both on and off the trail. A lifelong athlete, she is a 3rd Dan black belt in Karate, a practitioner of Kalaripayattu, a triathlete, and a mother of two. Her resilience, attention to detail, and grounded leadership form a vital part of Berkut’s foundation.
Kamal Thapa
Co-FounderBehind every well-executed journey is meticulous planning, and Kamal ensures that nothing is left to chance. From permits and documentation to transport, equipment, and on-ground logistics, he transforms plans into reality. Whether it’s arranging specialised gear or coordinating access to remote regions, his role is central to the seamless execution of every expedition.
